Older Adults can now get the assistance they require for medical conditions or after physical therapy.  Movement Medical provides in-home exercise services in Winston Salem, Greensboro, and Raleigh NC. We fill the gap left after the rehab process ends, providing safe and effective exercises that emphasize prevention and continued improvement of the unique needs of older adults.  Our goal is to enable the older adult to have a smooth transition from physical therapy to a supervised exercise plan.  Our Medical Exercise Specialists continue the exercises provided by your physical therapist or other medical professional in your home.  For more information contact us at: admin@movementmedical.com or 336-210-4203.  Movement Medical bridges the gap between health care and fitness by providing a Post Rehab or Medical Exercise Specialists to your door.  A Medical Exercise Specialist (MES) is a health and fitness professional who develops safe and effective exercise and specific conditioning programs for clients with cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, neurological and metabolic disorders after discharge from medical, chiropractic care and/or physical therapy.

These atypical clients are “post rehab” in that they are referred to the MES after they have completed a rehabilitation program or have been otherwise medically stabilized and now need an exercise program tailored to their particular medical condition.

A MES differs from a personal trainer in that he/she receives extensive training in every aspect of pathology, clinical anatomy, exercise prescription and assessment guidelines for more than 60 conditions affecting the upper and lower extremities, spine, and the cardiovascular and neurological systems.
